The Regional Park of Beigua is located in Arenzano, a municipality in province of Genoa. The peculiarity of this area is characterized by the arrival of thousands of migratory birds in spring and autumn, and this event represents a real charming spectacle.
In fact, in this period, we suggest you to take a look over your head because you will have the chance to watch day birds of prey (as the Honey Buzzard, the Marsh Harrier, the Black Kite or the Short-toed Eagle) and also storks, birds which has the region of Liguria as a second home and which are numerous and easily observable.
In those seasons, several birdwatchers come in the South-East areas of the Park of Beigua and in the heights of Arenzano to admire the birds of prey migration.
To give value to such important phenomenon of birds population, the Organization Park of Beigua created a Center for Ornithology and Environmental Education, whose function is to study birds for scientific research.
